Update on Move to Denver and Pics

Blog April 29th, 2009

Ill try to post a bunch of pics of the NEW PLACE in Denver.  Damn, feels good to say that.  For now, here is the link to the album with a few boring pics i decided to take while im finishing up packing and definitely not stoned…Yes, the tincture bottle in the pics is empty and, Yes, a moving day without green is almost an emergency.  Luckily im heading to my medicine, and not away from it this time, and certainly not worried about one day without green.

For those who dont know.  The JDRS has been based out of NW Colorado since it started.  4 Hours from Denver.  And, certainly not the least to mention, i must thank the local drug task force for being so kind as to allow me to stay here for another year and a half past the point of insanity, and kindly trying to show me a better way of life.  Thank you all for your pointless and failing job you do in Drug Enforcement.  It did a whole lot of good…  Can they see this BS Drug War is just pissing us off more, and creating a bigger army for the reform side??

Good times, and cheers to never looking back.  Denver and a brand NEW JDRS is on hand and in sight.  I should be in town and have the show back up and running soon.  Actually, im hoping to get you an interview with Charles C. Lynch, who is in limbo with the Feds and legal Med MJ over Prez Obama’s MEd MJ stance.  He might go to prison for five years, all the while the judge who will sentence him doesnt want to send him there.  What the hell are we doing?  Does anyone know?!

If i have pull the trailer myslef we are getting to Denver today.

Talk to yah soon.

Good times,

~JDR

OH and BTW, i should have an annoucement regarding a NEW CO-Host soon.  Just gotta finalize the details.

BC3 Co-Defendants Michelle Rainey and Greg Williams Plead Guilty to Conspiracy

Cannabis News April 25th, 2009

Some horrible News regarding the BC3.  Although not as bad as things could have been, it’s still insane that people of this caliber, caring and wonderful, and an example of the beauty people can hold in this world,  plead guilty to charges of conspiracy.

I haven’t talked with Marc Emery in a few weeks, and I can only hope that he will not take the brunt of this punch from the United States.  His next court date is June 1st.  But, has been re-scheduled multiple times because of one reason or another.  Check out the most recent interview on JDR with Marc to hear how much he is really frustrated with the United States.

I truly enjoy Marc and his kind words that have helped me through very hard times since my raid in ‘07.  I have met no one that is stronger, shines brighter, and has been more positive in the shadows of a ridiculous War on Drugs than Marc Emery.  The BC3 truly represent the heart of Marijuana reform, and I challenge you to find a better example of how insane it is to turn every day normal, loving, and caring people into animals, and feed them to the wolves.

We should be ashamed as Americans.  And, for the first time in a while.  I am.

It’s time to drop this nonsense.

Vassals of the “Prince of Pot” Plead Guilty

Two associates of the self-proclaimed “Prince of Pot” Marc Emery pleaded guilty Friday in federal court in Seattle to conspiracy to manufacture marijuana. Michelle Rainey, 38, and Gregory Keith Williams, 54, both from Vancouver, B.C., made the pleas. Both worked at Emery Seeds and were indicted in 2005. Under a plea deal, prosecutors will recommend a sentence for both of two years probation.
Sentencing will be July 17.
The lead defendant in that 2005 indictment, Marc Emery, is still in Canada and is fighting extradition. He is supposed to have an extradition hearing in Canada on June 1.
He is a supporter of decriminalizing marijuana and his indictment has stirred passions in Canada — against both the wisdom of U.S. drug laws and their use against Emery and his employees.
According to court documents, Rainey worked for Emery — the Prince of Pot who says his business has sold more than 4 million marijuana seeds — from 1998 to 2005. She helped Emery’s business of sending marijuana seeds through the mail by filling orders.
Emery told her to send seeds and growing instructions to customers, court documents say. Three out of four customers were in the U.S.

Williams handled phone orders for the business, according to court documents. He also sold seeds to walk-in customers.   Williams confirmed in court documents claims on the Emery website of the business’ taking in more than $3 million in year by selling marijuana seeds.

Vancouver ‘Prince of Pot’ pals plead guilty in U.S. to marijuana charges

SEATTLE, WA. — Two former employees of Vancouver’s self-proclaimed Prince of Pot have pleaded guilty in a Seattle court to conspiracy to manufacture marijuana.
The United States Attorney’s Office says Michelle Rainey and Gregory Keith Williams, both of Vancouver, have pleaded guilty in a Seattle court to conspiracy to manufacture marijuana.
Thirty-eight-year-old Rainey and 54-year-old Williams were charged along with pot advocate Marc Emery in 2005 for selling seeds over the Internet. Emery is scheduled for an extradition hearing in Vancouver on June 1.
The U.S. Attorney says that under the terms of the plea agreement, they’ll recommend sentences of two years’ probation at a sentencing hearing on July 17.
The office says that between 2003 and 2005, Rainey mailed marijuana seeds and growing instructions to customers – 75 per cent of whom live in the United States.
U.S. officials say Williams handled phone orders and sold seeds to customers coming into Emery’s store in Vancouver and on several occasions in 2004, sold some to a U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration undercover agent.

John Doe Radio in Denver ‘420 2009′ Video Chronicle

Shows April 24th, 2009

Our first “Official” video from John Doe Radio.  Excuse the poor production quality, and half-assed planning.  We found we needed to upgrade Video Production Software after this one.

I also haven’t produced a video since I got out of broadcasting school.  Which, still is no excuse, but shows how fast technology moves this day in age.  It took forever for me to find a site to host, and even longer to make sure the video wasnt corrupted, and was small enough to fit its host.

Ah well, it works now.

And, I think you’re gonna enjoy what we have planned for the video future.

Good Times.

Thanks for being a part of JDR and we hope to chat with you after our big move to Denver, Colorado. Home of Legal Marijuana, SAFER, Sensible Colorado, arguably the highest per capita Stoner rate, and soon The John Doe Radio Show.

Our show was created to help those who can medicate with marijuana, both with permission of the individual legal States, and those people living in ones who havent caught up, feel comfortable with their choice of medication. I feel comfortable a year and a half after my raid now, being able to use my medication legally, and with the support of lawyers and lawmakers, I feel stronger in the fight to allow others to feel the same. Keep your head high, and the fight on. We are the ones with the power, and the more we let them know that on all fronts, the faster our momentum builds.

Till that day my friends.
